Glutammene is a dietary supplement available in both powder and tablets, containing 100% L-Glutamine.
L-Glutamine is one of the most important body amino acids: it is present in large amounts and takes part in determinant metabolic roles. It enables the formation of cellular energy reserves in certain tissues, such as muscles, and rienforces the immune system by releasing ATP.
In fact, it participates in proteic synthesis and helps to increase muscle cell volume, attracting water and electrolytes within them.
After an intense physical workout, due to proteic catabolism, muscles can lose up to 40% of their glutamine reserves with a consequent reduction of muscle mass.
Under physical stress conditions or illness and especially under intense muscle training, the muscle can produce lactic acid and ammonia, a toxic substance that glutamine is delegated to eliminate.
