The maca plant is a staple food in South America. Originally from the Peruvian Andes, where it is grown today at an altitude of 4,000 meters. Body Attack Maca 1000 uses only the root.
The South Americans use the whole plant, which is about 20 inches high. The leaves are processed to vegetables, while the roots are eaten raw. They are also dried and then processed into a powder.
The maca plant is very popular among the South Americans, who eat it a lot. It is considered by them as the South American ginseng.

Body Attack Maca 1000 has only 342 kilocalories and a protein content of 18.8 grams per 100 grams. Protein may contribute to preservation of the muscle mass and build up of the same when worked out appropriately.
