B-6 Active 20 mg is a metabolically active supplement of vitamin B6.

II generic term of vitamin B6 includes three compounds, pyridoxine, pyridoxal and pyridoxamine.

All three can be transformed through enzymatic processes into pyridoxal-phosphate, the biologically active form of this vitamin.

The B6 (pyridossin) is a vitamin that participates in the reactions of over 60 systems enzymatic.

Its presence is required in particular in the synthesis and degradation reactions of amino acids and proteins, in the synthesis of hemoglobin and some bigenic amines (serotonin, histamine, dopamine, acetylcholine, gaba), compounds implicated In the activity of the nervous system.

Carenial forms of vitamin B6 can be induced by prolonged use of some drugs, in particular oral contraceptives.

Deficit of this important nutrient are also observed in some Depressive paintings.
