What is Lisina?

Lisina is a Lysine supplement that is produced in accordance with high quality standards.
Lisina is a food supplement that contains L-lysine, an amino acid present in the proteins of all living things.
It is classified as an essential amino acid, i.e. an amino acid that the human body is not capable of producing it by itself, and therefore requires supplementation.

Some wheat-based or typically vegetarian/vegan diets present a characteristic deficiency of this amino acid.

Use and mechanism of action

The primary function of amino acids is to combine together to form proteins, which are nutrients needed for the structure and function of a whole series of elements that are crucial for our bodies, such as skin, muscles, blood components, hormones, internal organs, hair and nails.

Some scientific studies have shown the involvement of L-lysine in all those processes that counteract the activation of herpes simplex, which is responsible for cold sores on the lips and mouth.
