YAMAMOTO® RESEARCH
Yamamoto® Research Olio di lino Linseed oil is a food supplement based on linseed oil, a source of linoleic acid (omega-6) and alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3). Alpha-linolenic acid * contributes to the maintenance of normal cholesterol levels in the blood (the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 2 g of alpha-linoleic acid).
The oil of the same name can be obtained from flax seeds, consisting mainly of triglycerides rich in essential polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3 and omega-6). The supply of these nutrients must necessarily come from the diet, since the body is not able to produce them from other lipid substrates. It should also be said that the use of linseed oil is particularly useful for rebalancing the ratio between omega-3 and omega-6, which due to the modern diet is often unbalanced in favor of the latter. Linseed Oil by Yamamoto® Research is a supplement based on flaxseed oil (Linum usitatissimum L.) obtained by cold pressing that naturally contains omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids. Flaxseed oil is also a rich natural source of alpha linolenic acid (ALA), an essential polyunsaturated fatty acid of the omega 3 series. Alpha linolenic acid (ALA) contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. Already known in ancient times, native to the Middle East and widespread throughout the Mediterranean basin, where its cultures date back to Babylon as early as 3000 BC, the Flax Linum usitatissimum, an annual herbaceous plant, with large sky-blue flowers, was already well known not only for the fabrics obtained from its fibers, but for the known beneficial properties of its seeds from which it is extracted by cold pressing, an oil for both food and cosmetic use. The oil obtained is one of the major concentrated sources of essential omega 3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (alpha-linoleic acid) which is then converted into the active forms EPA and DHA, which we know are so essential for controlling cholesterol and more. The antioxidant activity of oil obtained from flax seeds is favored by the content of vitamin E (17.5 mg per 100 g), vitamin C, vitamins B, with a good presence of lecithin, a set of phospholipids necessary for the good functioning of the nervous system and brain, lignans (phenolic antioxidants) as well as numerous minerals such as magnesium, potassium and selenium as well as mucilage and dietary fiber. Directions: take 4 softgels a day with water.
