VITA METAFOLIC is a dietary supplement based on L-methylfolate calcium (Metafolin®) (5-MTHF), the active form of folic acid; the result is a rapidly available formulation, usable by the body without undergoing further biotransformation processes.

Folate deficiency can be a consequence of insufficient dietary intake. Folates are water-soluble, thermolabile and photosensitive vitamins.
Their concentration in food is therefore strongly conditioned by the methods of preservation and cooking that can reduce (up to 90%) the quantity.
Folate deficiency can also be a consequence of reduced absorption from the diet (eg intestinal malabsorption), an increased requirement that occurs in some physiological situations (pregnancy, lactation and postmenopausal) or as an effect of taking certain drugs.
Folate contributes to the normal synthesis of amino acids, to normal hematopoiesis, to the natural metabolism of homocysteine, to the physiological psychological function, to the normal function of the immune system, to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, also intervening in the process of cell division. A single vitamin for so many needs!
