+WATT CLA+
Food supplement
CLA+ is a food supplement of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). GLUTEN FREE.
Essential fatty acids are substances indispensable to the body which, however, is not able to synthesize. Consequently, it is only with the diet that we can meet the correct need for these substances, like vitamins, minerals and essential amino acids.
From a chemical point of view, essential fatty acids are polyunsaturated (presence of multiple double bonds) and essentially belong to two series: omega-3 (eicosapentaenoic acid: EPA; docosahexaenoic acid: DHA) and omega-6 (linoleic acid: LA; conjugated linoleic acid: CLA; gamma linolenic acid: GLA).
The CLA product contains a derivative of safflower seed oil (Carthamus tinctorius) particularly rich in conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which represents about 80% by weight.
In the human body the functions of essential fatty acids are manifold. We recall that they are part of all cell membranes (plastic functions) and are particularly abundant in the central and peripheral nervous system where they tend to decrease with ageing. Numerous studies have associated the decrease in essential fatty acids with the onset of nervous system dysfunctions (e.g. loss of memory, visual acuity, etc.). Furthermore, from a metabolic point of view, essential fatty acids are precursors of metabolites active in functions such as muscle contraction, platelet aggregation, inflammatory response, etc. A lack of essential fatty acids can therefore create important imbalances in the body's functions.
In particular, as reported by various studies, the intake of 3.2g of CLA per day can be attributed to some health-promoting actions on the immune, cardiovascular and bone systems. They are also purported to prevent age-related health problems, as regulators of blood glucose level, and by preventing oxidative stress (Jun HK et al. 2016. Conjugated Linoleic Acid: Potential Health Benefits as a Functional Food Ingredients).
The result that projected CLAs in sports is due to their ability to implement the signaling pathways of muscle intracellular metabolism or energy metabolism (Yoo K. et al. 2016. Impact of Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) on Skeletal Muscle Metabolism ). This mechanism allows the macronutrients to be "split" more effectively, favoring the increase in lean body mass to the detriment of fat.
This effect is all the more marked the more it is associated with a balanced diet and constant physical activity.
It is important to remember that raw materials containing CLA, such as safflower and sunflower oil derivatives, must be obtained with mild and rigorously cold extraction processes. This reduces yields (unfortunately increasing the price), but the properties of the product are kept unchanged. Hot and/or solvent extractions have high yields, but irreversibly modify the properties of the final product, with the possibility of forming toxic products.
CLA is a high quality safflower oil derivative, produced in the European Community. It is obtained with mild, cold, rigorously standardized and patented extraction processes (Tonalin®).
DIRECTIONS: SPORT: Supplement useful for increasing lean body mass to the detriment of fat.
Doses: 4 capsules a day before main meals.
DAILY LIFE: Useful complement in dealing with low-calorie, low-lipid diets protracted over time for the loss of fat mass. Useful in subjects suffering from hypercholesterolemia and hyperlipidemia.
Doses: 2-4 capsules a day before the two main meals.
*It is recommended to keep the package away from light and at temperatures not exceeding 25°C. To improve the stability of the product, the oils present have been added with vitamin E (E306).
