YAMAMOTO® RESEARCH
Yamamoto® Research Acqua di Cocco - Obtained by lyophilisation of water from the fruit of coconut Yamamoto® Research ACQUA DI COCCO is obtained by lyophilisation of water from the fruit of coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) and is with no added sugars (contains naturally occurring sugars)*. Enjoy it at any time of the day. In tropical countries it is the beverage par excellence: it allows for perfect rehydration and gives energy as it is a natural isotonic drink. The Ayurveda also considers it a natural anti-stress food since it is rich in precious minerals such as potassium, magnesium and other microelements that make it an excellent restorative of the nervous system which is capable of restoring emotional stability and fighting mental fatigue and difficulties in concentration. The Hawaiian people call coconut water "noleani", meaning "dew of paradise", and it is particularly favoured by many traditional tropical cultures over all other drinks due to its rehydrating and health benefits.
But now it is expanding to the "modern" world which has discovered its concrete properties that make it so "special". Contrary to popular belief, coconut water is not fatty at all, but in fact it is dietary, possessing only 16 calories per 100 grams, with a very low sugar content. In fact, it is often confused with coconut milk, which is obtained by squeezing the pulp of ripe coconut. Coconut water, on the other hand, is found inside the fruit of the still-unripe and green coconut palm. Coconut water is considered a food of great value, a true "nutraceutical". It is 100% natural, 99% fat-free, contains no cholesterol, has few sugars and calories, but from an energetic and nutritional point of view it is a drink rich in minerals such as potassium, magnesium, calcium and sodium, trace elements that promote the well-being and health of the whole body with detoxifying, purifying and deacidifying effects, but especially rehydrating like no other drink. The coconut water is immediately assimilated into the bloodstream and this is due to its proteins which purify the blood. A prominent feature is that it has a stronger moisturising effect than water, which makes your thirst disappear before the water reserves have been reconstituted (it is hypotonic). It contains the five essential electrolytes that athletes, for example, must take before and, in particular, after each performance i.e. sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium and phosphorous. It contains 15 times more potassium than sports drinks, and its components are all highly assimilable as it is completely natural and balanced. But coconut water is still a pleasant drink for everyone, especially in the summer when perspiration is higher, and being a real goldmine of natural electrolytes it can also be of great help to prevent dehydration in case of vomiting and diarrhoea. During sweating, several electrolytes are lost, particularly sodium and potassium, which must then be replaced with food and water supply. In a completely natural and pleasant way, the coconut water integrates in particular the five electrolytes which our body loses and needs for its physiological functions with a very high degree of absorption:
It is evident that the consumption of coconut water, for example after physical activity, is better than a common sports drink based on electrolytes, because it ensures a much higher quantity of potassium, whilst providing less sugar and more antioxidants. It is no coincidence that coconut water has become increasingly popular as a natural substitute for beverages formulated specifically for athletes, but it can commonly be consumed as a "healthy" summer drink as a substitute for sugary drinks or those that are excessively rich in sweeteners, but we can simply sip it during the day to counter the summer heat to stay well-hydrated and quench our thirst. However, coconut water is a substance of great value, being 100% natural, 99% free of fat, it does not contain cholesterol, it has very few sugars, but from an energetic and nutritional point of view it is a drink rich in precious high-absorption mineral salts, such as potassium, magnesium, calcium and sodium, but not just that, as it contains various trace elements and amino acids that promote the wellbeing and health of the whole body with detoxifying, purifying and deacidifying or alkalising effects, revitalising the body "inside and out", transmitting a powerful energy charge to the tissues and cells, as well as being the most thirst-quenching and rehydrating natural drink.
