The plant ashwagandha, whose scientific name is Withania somnifera, also known as 'Indian Ginseng', has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for several millennia. It has always been considered a tonic and adaptogenic phytotherapeutic remedy, capable of increasing the body's non-specific resistance in response to external stressful stimuli, and is recognised as contributing to relaxation and mental wellbeing*. This plant is also attributed natural anti-stress properties. It is recognised as having actions against anxiety and severe fatigue, promoting better relaxation. Because of these properties, ashwagandha is classified as one of the most effective adaptogenic plants and, like all adaptogens, has the particular ability to increase the body's ability to adapt and optimally modulate its response to various stress situations, thereby regulating metabolic functions. Our supplement contains a patented KSM-66® root extract, the version with the highest concentration of withanolides (5%), steroid lactones which, together with alkaloids and other phytochemical constituents, make up the 'pool' of active substances in ashwaganda, and with the highest number of certifications, as well as the most scientific studies, to ensure maximum quality and safety in use.
