Yamamoto® Research Imugen - Dietary supplement of vitamin C, zinc and Echinacea extracts (3 different types of extracts in the form of Ekina3®). which supports the body's natural defences and the functionality of the respiratory tract. Yamamoto® Research Imugen is a food supplement of vitamin C, zinc and Echinacea extracts. Zinc contributes to normal cognitive function, while vitamin C helps reduce tiredness and fatigue. Their combined action contributes to the normal function of the immune system and protection of cells from oxidative stress. In addition, Imugen contains extracts of Echinacea, which supports the body's natural defences and the functionality of the respiratory tract. In detail, Imugen contains a blend of Echinacea extracts called Ekina-3®, a patent consisting of three different forms of Echinacea: Echinacea purpurea L. Moench roots and aerial parts, Echinacea pallida Nutt. roots and aerial parts, Echinacea angustifolia DC. roots, providing a complete and potent phytocomplex. Echinacea, one of the most sought-after and widely used medicinal plants in the Italian phytotherapeutic scene, and whose use dates back as far as the North American Indians, is in fact known for its immune-stimulating properties: several pharmacological studies support its ability to increase resistance to infection. It has proved particularly useful in treating flu and preventing colds. With the arrival of autumn, or at any rate with the change of season and the colder months, the first unpleasant seasonal ailments arrive. Many of us will need to find vitamins or supplements to help prevent the onset of these illnesses (or alleviate their symptoms). Echinacea, which has found great favour as a support for the body's natural defences, is one such support. The active principles contained in the different Echinacea species may vary, but in general, all three main plants contain: Flavonoids, caffeic acid derivatives, polysaccharides with stimulating activity, polyphenols, glycoproteins, essential oils and polyenes. In particular, echinacea root contains many flavonoids, natural antioxidants that confer properties that support the body's defences, thus helping to resolve those unpleasant colds and other problems affecting the respiratory tract. The formulation of our supplement is also complemented, as listed above, by the presence of Vitamin C and zinc. Vitamin C (or ascorbic acid) is a water-soluble vitamin which must necessarily be ingested through food. It participates in many metabolic reactions, raises the barriers of the immune system and helps the body to take general preventive action against the risk of contracting diseases. It is best known for its antioxidant power, which is essential for neutralising free radicals. Zinc is a trace element, i.e. a mineral present in the body in small quantities. It is a component of hundreds of metabolic reactions and is required for the functioning of several hormones (cofactor). It is essential for a good immune response, wound healing and tissue repair. Studies have also shown that zinc intake helps to increase the level of T lymphocytes, thereby reducing the duration and severity of infections. Directions: take 1 tablet once a day with water.
