Modern society requires us to be performing, fast and efficient on a daily basis, but much of the time we risk, or sometimes actually reach, a state of collapse, over-exhaustion or even total burnout. Fatigue covers a wide range of disorders related to physical, psychological and social problems. Intense fatigue is estimated to affect 25% of people, with CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) at 3.28%. A higher percentage is seen among the population aged between 40-59. Fatigue can affect any ethnic or socioeconomic group, and any gender, although women are affected up to 4 times the rate of men. Until now, little progress has been made in understanding and treating CFS, and no specific drug is yet available.
As a result, a plethora of "tonics", "restoratives" and "adaptogenic" supplements have appeared on the market, often handed down by the tradition of Oriental medicine. Some of these do have real scientific foundations, which really are effective in helping to prevent or recover from states of severe fatigue, while others are more hype than substance, and their only effect is on your wallet.

High levels of homocysteine indicate concerns about liver health due to an unhealthy diet or intake. Increased homocysteine levels can cause inflammation of the blood vessels, and may ultimately be a risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Supplementation with Robuvit® significantly lowers homocysteine levels in individuals with high levels of this harmful substance, which has recently emerged as a topic of discussion in the medical field.
Recent research has highlighted a very interesting factor that points to Robuvit®'s great power during convalescence. The study demonstrated a strongly accelerated recovery time and a capacity to boost the body's defences after the immune system has been weakened by fighting a virus. In particular, a new study published in the Journal of Sports Medicine and Physical Fitness shows that taking Robuvit® the day after the disappearance of flu symptoms can help improve recovery from the illness. The study tested 38 patients aged 65 to 75 who had been diagnosed with influenza.

We have all heard of restorative supplements, but usually with a general, unspecific or poorly-defined effect. They tend to be combined with vitamins or other immuno-modulating substances, as there is not a large market for recovery from influenza. Most options on the market are for the prevention of influenza, but recovery is an equally important, and often over-overlooked aspect of influenza illnesses. The average dosage is one vegetal capsule containing 100 mg of Robuvit®, taken once or twice a day. In states of persistent chronic fatigue, mainly related to oxidative stress, treatment will take three to six months.
