Yamamoto® Research Curcuma Curcugreen™ Liver function and antioxidant
Curcuma Curcugreen™ is a food supplement providing 500 mg of turmeric extract per daily dose. Native to southern Asia, turmeric is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the Zingiberaceae family. This plant is particularly prized for its rhizomes (underground parts), from which the famous yellow-orange spice is obtained. Though this spice is known above all for its use as food, turmeric also boasts innumerable health benefits that have recently emerged, with increasing confirmation from the scientific community that continues to deepen our knowledge of its peculiar characteristics. Used in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine for many centuries, turmeric was traditionally used to stimulate digestion and treat digestive disorders. In fact, turmeric acts in particular by increasing bile secretion, thus allowing easier digestion, also revealing itself as an important support to liver efficiency and detoxification. However, it's not only due to its interesting therapeutic actions that turmeric has been the subject of countless scientific research investigations. Researchers have succeeded in isolating the origins of turmeric's innumerable benefits: the "curcuminoids". Among these molecules, curcumin is the most present in turmeric and the best documented in the scientific literature. In fact, curcumin is known for its significant antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. As an antioxidant, curcumin can counteract the free radicals responsible for cellular aging and which promote the onset of various diseases. Its anti-inflammatory action mechanisms to combat acute and chronic inflammations are well-known and have been thoroughly explained, especially for joints, where curcumin has shown excellent support for joint health, improving functionality, flexibility and mobility, as well as being anti-inflammatory, as already evidenced for health problems such as arthritis.
Thanks to its powerful effect on bile secretion, for a long time turmeric has not only had fat metabolising effects attributed to it, but also important hepatoprotective and detoxifying effects, and more recently we have been evaluating its action in terms of cognitive and mood support. Truly there are many properties of turmeric, which is why research is investigating its use in the prevention or treatment of several diseases, but the use of turmeric is particularly compelling in the treatment of certain inflammatory diseases or arthritis. Other studies are currently underway on the anticancerogenic properties of turmeric and its interesting role in the prevention of some forms of cancer. All these therapeutic virtues of turmeric must in particular be attributed to the presence of "curcumin", the bioactive fraction which however is not usually well absorbed by the body, so as a result much of the turmeric that we introduce as a food spice or even as a supplement is not absorbed in sufficient quantities to be able to explain its interesting therapeutic actions. But given the great potential for the use of this precious oriental spice, research in the nutraceutical field has continued and presented formulations with high absorption rates, thus favouring excellent bioavailability, so as to promote maximum effectiveness of action. One of these is the one that we dearly wanted to include in our new "CURCUMA" supplement, namely BCM-95® bio-curcumin, a special 100% patent mixed with turmeric extract. As previously mentioned, the therapeutic power of turmeric on health derives from curcuminoids which are responsible for the yellow-orange colour of the rhizome of the spice, and also by the oily portion which is characterised by its typical pungent aroma. Through a particular extraction process, the group of curcuminoids present in the root with the essential oils including (ar) -turmerone were collected and mixed. The number "95" that characterises the "BCM-95®" patent concerns the degree of standardisation to 95% of the curcuminoids-essential oils complex, which allows a unique absorption and synergy of action that has demonstrated an extraordinary bioavailability from 7 to 9 times higher than that of the most common 95% standardisation turmeric extracts. The research also proved to be 6.37 times more bioavailable than the already effective combined "curcumin-lecithin-black pepper", presenting a half-life of 4.96 hours compared to the standard one of curcumin*. BCM-95® is one of the most representative version used in the scientific literature, present in many clinical studies on animals and humans, demonstrating its high power of action in terms of inflammatory response and as an antioxidant, as a mood and cognitive supporting agent, as well as having many other health benefits. Since it was founded not too long ago, Yamamoto Research has been choosing the best certified raw materials, the most prestigious and recognised patents that use real scientific literature, and for our new CURCUMA supplement we could not choose to use anything other than the famous BCM-95® formulation, which uses a dossier of over 50 clinical studies and a 15-year quality-safety monitoring. The turmeric used is GMO-free, does not contain any excipient or artificial colourant, it is gluten-free and contains no yeasts, starches, dairy products and soy. All this, so that users can have full peace of mind knowing they have chosen only the "best" product, 100% safe for their health. Directions: take 1-2 capsules once a day with water.
