Concentrated whey Protein: they are obtained by ultrafiltration, they have a protein content that varies at origin from approximately 73% to 83%, they contain from 4% to 6% fat. They are the most used, as they have a low cost. Supplements containing these Protein typically have a protein content of approximately 80% and a fat content greater than 4%. They are high quality Protein.
Whey protein isolate: there are two types: (1) with an original protein content of more than 90%, fat less than 1% and lactose approximately 1%. (2) with a protein content of approximately 80% and fat less than 1%. They are both high quality Protein, type (1) is comparable in quality and price to ion exchange Protein. Type (2) is much more affordable and still maintains high quality. Microfiltered whey Protein differ slightly in composition from ion exchange Protein, given the different extraction process: they are particularly rich in beta-lactoglobulin, glycomacropeptides and lactoferrin. Typical content of the protein fractions of microfiltered whey Protein: 55.9% beta-lactoglobulin (containing 50% branched), 14.9% alpha-lactalbumin, 1.55% bovine serum albumin (BSA), 3% immunoglobulins (IgG), 20% glycomacropeptides, 0.125% lactoferrin and other minor peptides: lactoperoxidase, lactolin, lysozyme, relaxin, gamma-globulins, beta-microglobulin and other micro peptides.
Hydrolyzed Whey Protein: These Protein are derived (in most cases) from the enzymatic digestion of whey Protein. This predigestion system allows the protein powder to be assimilated almost instantly by the body (approximately 10-15 minutes after consumption). They allow you to make the most of the "anabolic window" that opens after training. On the other hand, however, they do not have any anti-catabolic properties.
DIRECTIONS: we recommend taking 1 scoop (30 g) to dissolve in 200 ml of water once a day.
