Triboost is a food supplement based on Tribulus Terrestris, Maca Andina and Zinc.

The product is a mixture of dry extract of Tribulus terrestris, Lepidium meyeneii and zinc citrate. These substances belong to the "Testosterone Boosters", which directly or indirectly support the physiological action of this hormone.

The extracts of Tribulus Terrestris (dry fruit extract, title 90% weight/weight in saponins) are used in the traditional medicine of some Middle and Far Eastern countries for their diuretic effects, to combat urinary tract stones, such as antihypertensive agents, anticholesterolemic agents and to combat angina pectoris. To these effects must be added some actions on the sexual sphere (aphrodisiac action, increase in fertility, increase in spermatogenesis and libido) due to the enhancement of the action of testosterone by some substances contained in Tribulus Terrestris (steroidal saponins). From what has been mentioned, the use of Tribulus Terrestris can support the increase in muscle mass in sport, through the enhancement of the action of testosterone produced endogenously by the human body.

Tribulus terrestris is an important antioxidant, especially indicated for women, as it contributes to the normal functioning of the female reproductive system in particular normalizes the hormonal production of the ovaries, as well as alleviates the symptoms related to polycystic ovary, increasing sexual desire in women and relieving post menopausal symptoms.

Zinc is an element capable of supporting the action of testosterone and insulin (as well as having an antioxidant and immune system support action). Some recent studies have been able to highlight a close correlation between blood levels of zinc and those of testosterone. The anabolic action of testosterone would depend on a good availability of zinc.

To support the synergy between the various components present in Triboost, the root of a Peruvian plant was selected: Maca (Lepidium meyenii Walp), which grows spontaneously only at altitudes above 3500 m. In Peru it is well known for its nutritional properties and for the improvement it gives to the mental and physical faculties; some studies show an aphrodisiac effect.
