Yamamoto Research Bromelain is an extract rich in enzymes deriving from Ananas comosus (L.) Merr . Pineapple is indicated to promote digestive function, assisting the digestive process when taken with meals. It also supports the drainage of body fluids and the functionality of the microcirculation, relieving the sensation of heavy legs and counteracting cellulite blemishes.

Bromelain is a food supplement that provides 1000 mg of enzymes with activity equal to 5000 GDU per daily dose. Bromelain is a proteolytic enzyme extracted in particular from the pineapple stem.

Bromelain is a well-known enzyme found within the pineapple and, although it is present in all parts of the pleasant exotic fruit, its highest concentration is found in the stem of the fruit, the toughest and most fibrous portion which is often it is willingly discarded and not consumed. This particular enzyme has an activity that is defined as "proteolytic", i.e. capable of "breaking" the peptide bonds between Protein.
