The body requires, for the composition of Protein, the availability of all the essential and non-essential amino acids of which they are composed. 

In the human body, Protein (even hydrolysed ones) have a mainly plastic/structural function, while from an energy point of view, under normal physiological conditions, they are of negligible importance. Protein provide most of the "building blocks" (amino acids) with which we are made and become substrates of an energy nature only under very specific conditions (e.g. prolonged fasting).

If this physiological property is common to all Protein, hydrolysed Protein have the highest degree of amino acid absorption in the gastrointestinal tract. In other words, a few minutes after their intake, there is an increase in the blood of the amino acids that make them up. We remind that the time interval that goes from 1 to 2 hours after training, muscle protein synthesis is maximal in athletes, also due to the physiological release of anabolic hormones (eg: GH).
